Golden Eagles Soccer Camps
James Pollard is entering his first year of assistant coaching for JBU’s men’s soccer program, and he serves as Camp Director for the Golden Eagles ID Soccer Camps.
Pollard has coaching experience at both the high school and club level in Northwest Arkansas for the last four years.
His soccer camp experience goes back several years, all the way back to when Bob Gustavson was coaching for JBU men’s soccer. He’s been a part of soccer camps at JBU both as a player and as a coach for over 10 years. He keeps coming back because he truly loves the experience that campers receive, and these camps were the sources of some of his greatest development as a player and as a man of Christ.
Pollard finished his last season playing for JBU’s men’s program in fall, 2018 where he played as an outside back from 2015-2018. During his JBU career, he played in 33 games and starting in 19 of them.
Some of Pollard’s playing highlights include being part of JBU’s historic away win against the (then) #1 nationally ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles in 2017, as well as playing in the National Tournament against William Carey University in 2016.
His accolades include Commissioner’s Honor Roll in all of his four years and All-Academic SAC Team 2016-2018. He was also an NAIA National Scholar-Athlete in 2017 and 2018.
Pollard will graduate in May of this year with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also currently working on a Master of Arts in Teaching from JBU. He lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife Annika.
